SiliconMon is a live monitor for the M-series chip. CPU/GPU/ANE residency and watts, unified memory pressure, and per-process detection of the AI tool you're running — MLX, Ollama, llama.cpp, LM Studio, ComfyUI. Reads IOReport directly. No sudo, no helper, sub-1% CPU at idle.
CPU/GPU/ANE watts read from the IOReport Energy Model channels. Per-cluster residency, weighted active MHz, dominant GPU P-state.
Identifies MLX, Ollama, llama.cpp, LM Studio, KoboldCpp, vLLM, ComfyUI, SD WebUI by process name + argv. Shows the loaded model.
App / Wired / Compressed / Cached breakdown that matches Activity Monitor. Memory pressure level surfaced live.
Menu bar with live MEM/GPU/W. Full window opens on demand. Sub-1% CPU idle. No background services, no telemetry sent anywhere.
Every chart is interactive. Hover for the exact value at any point of the live 60-second window.
One-time $9. Free trial, no card upfront. Auto-updates within the 0.x line. License works offline forever, on every Mac you own.
Because it uses Apple's IOReport private framework to read CPU/GPU/ANE energy directly. Apple's App Store review automatically rejects apps that link private frameworks. Same reason every other Apple Silicon monitor — Stats, iStat Menus, asitop, macmon, mactop — distributes outside MAS.
For 14 days everything is unlocked: full window, charts, AI Workloads card, history persistence. After that the menu bar item keeps working forever (live MEM / GPU / W) but the full window prompts for a license. The Pro license unlocks the full window again, indefinitely.
Apple Pay works on the web — it's just a payment method on Stripe Checkout. When you click Buy, Stripe hosts the checkout page with the Apple Pay sheet baked in. You confirm with Touch ID / Face ID, get charged, and receive your license by email. Same UX as in-app purchase, different plumbing.
It's an Ed25519-signed token (~190 chars). Validated locally by the app using the public key embedded at build time — works fully offline. The signed payload contains your email, Stripe checkout id and issue date so you can reactivate any time, on any Mac, from the same email.
Sub-1% CPU at idle on M1 through M5 chips, ~115 MB RSS, no background services, no daemons, zero network calls except auto-update checks against this site. Nothing leaves your machine.
No. SiliconMon depends on the IOReport channels that only ship on Apple Silicon. M1 is the floor; M2 / M3 / M4 / M5 (including Pro / Max / Ultra variants) all supported.
Yes — the 14-day trial is generous on purpose so you can verify it works for your setup before paying. If you bought without trying and it doesn't work for you, email contact@astrolexis.space within 14 days of purchase for a refund.
Email contact@astrolexis.space from the address you used to buy. We'll resend the same key — no need to repurchase.
